Joe Gomez and Tent Alexander Arnold Struggle for Fitness Ahead of Fulham

Liverpool could be without both on Sunday when they return to Premier League action.
Jürgen Klopp faces a potential headache ahead of Sunday’s league match against Fulham with news that both Trent Alexander-Arnold and Joe Gomez are carrying minor knocks and are question marks to be able to play.
Questions were raised by Gomez’ omission from the starting lineup against Red Star on Tuesday, and The Telegraph say he was left out—with Joël Matip making a surprise, and very rusty, appearance—in an effort to help manage an achilles injury.
Gomez, though, was forced into action in the second half when Alexander-Arnold picked up an unspecified injury, which would go some way towards explaining why the young right back struggled as much as he did in the first half.
The expectation—or at least the hope—will be for at least one to be fit enough to start the game on Sunday at right back, though if neither is it will pose a problem given Nathaniel Clyne remains unavailable for selection.
There has also been no further word on Dejan Lovren’s status, with the centre half having been left out against Red Star due to illness, which could further complicate things for Klopp against Fulham.
