Borussia Dortmund ready to sell Christian Pulisic for £50m in January

Borussia Dortmund will listen to offers for Christian Pulisic as the American’s contract expires in the summer and the Bundesliga leaders are looking to earn a large sum from his departure.

Over the last 18 months, there has been a lot of speculation as to the future of Pulisic but it has been clear for a while now that he won’t be signing a contract extension at the Westfalenstadion.

Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United have been the most consistently linked with a move for the 20 year old and will be able to sign him in January if they meet Dortmund’s asking price.

Dortmund chief executive Michael Zorc claimed this week that the club will not allow any “essential” stars to leave and there are reports that Pulisic is no longer seen as a key cog in the Dortmund machine.

Zorc said: “We will not sell a player in winter who’s essential to us achieving our sporting aims, of course. That’s a matter of fact.”

On Pulisic, he was less certain: “I strongly expect Christian will still be wearing the BVB jersey in February.”

According to the MirrorDortmund are ready to sanction the sale of Pulisic in January if they receive a bid of £50million for his services.
