Bigoted Media Scrutiny Continues Over Salah, From The Likeliest Source

Mohamed Salah isn’t allowed to win penalties, apparently.

No, I’m not going to post a link to that shit rag, but The S*n is at it again (or should I say still?). They’ve temporarily moved on from bashing Raheem Sterling for having the audacity to spend money whilst black, to recalibrate their sites on the disease of (gasp) a Muslim player winning two penalties in as many games.

The word of choice this time “cheating,” which if you believe the paper not fit to line a bird cage, is a sentiment Pep Guardiola feels about Salah’s recent bounty of penalties (after going a 424 days without a league penalty at Anfield).

While Salah’s first penalty, where he went down easily after a hold by Newcastle’s Paul Dummett, could have been considered in the “soft/I’ve seen them given” camp, his second, where Arsenal’s Sokratis Papastathopoulos kicked him from behind not once, but twice, was a penalty every day of the week. Though, when Kopites have been denied the joy of watching a penalty given for more than a year, regardless of how egregious the foul, fair treatment can feel like “cheating” to others.

The question shouldn’t be why Salah is suddenly winning penalties, but rather why he hasn’t been fairly consistently since joining Liverpool? He’s one of the quickest, trickiest, attacking players in the league, with loads of touches inside the penalty area. Oh, and he gets kicked, held, and hacked an absolute fuck ton.

Moreover, certain publications continue to ignore the antics of English Golden Boy Harry Kane, who has routinely gone to the floor without contact at all (the actual definition of a dive), as he did in Tottenham’s 3-1 loss to Wolves last weekend.

I’m sure the fact that he’s white, English, and plays in London has no bearing on the discussion.

So there’s only one thing to do against City: win a soft, game-winning penalty, and watch all the bigots’ heads explode.
