Alexis Mac Allister’s Father Addresses Real Madrid Transfer Links
His father confirmed he’s staying on Merseyside for at least one more season.
The unknown quantity of Liverpool under Arne Slot has led to speculation about the futures of many of the stars who performed well under former manager Jürgen Klopp. Questions have been asked about Virgil van Dijk, Trent Alexander-Arnold, and Mohamed Salah, along others.
Alexis Mac Allister is another player who has been surrounded by rumours of a possible move to Real Madrid. The World Cup winner arrived on Merseyside last summer and still has four years left on his contract with the Reds.
When asked about his future, father Carlos Mac Allister responded to the links. He promised that Mac Allister will remain at the club for at least the next season, but left the door open after that.
“Alexis is performing very well at Liverpool, and this is the important thing to say at the moment,” Papa Mac Allister told Egyptian site, MSR. “There are no negotiations from Real Madrid with Alexis, and the player will continue with Liverpool next season. If future offers arrive to sign Alexis, we will discuss them with Liverpool’s management first.”
There’s a lot riding on this season in terms of Liverpool showing that they can continue to compete at a top level after Klopp’s departure, and the players are clearly watching as well.
