Liverpool target Alisson closing in on move to Real Madrid

Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson is closing in on a move to Real Madrid, according to AS report.

Real Madrid will reportedly pay a fee of €70million for the shot-stopper, which is a fee Jurgen Klopp believed was too much for the Brazilian.

Liverpool have been linked with Alisson for six months, but reports from earlier in the week suggested that Liverpool were simply not prepared to pay Roma’s asking price.

With Alisson having three years left on his contract at the Stadio Olimpico, they remain in a strong position to get the sum they wish.

Alisson is keen on sorting out his future before Brazil’s World Cup campaign gets underway on Sunday against Switzerland.

Liverpool are in for a new goalkeeper after Loris Karius’ performance in the Champions League final against Real Madrid in Kiev. It also appears that Simon Mignolet will depart the club this summer, which leaves Klopp looking for a new goalkeeper.

It remains unclear who Liverpool’s No. 1 target is in the goalkeeping department.
