Trent Alexander-Arnold considers Jordan Henderson to be a mentor
Trent Alexander-Arnold believes Jordan Henderson has been crucial in his rise to the top.
Alexander-Arnold is coming off a terrific season for Liverpool, which saw him get the call-up for a spot in the England squad for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
Henderson’s role as a mentor has been pivotal the youngster believes.
“He’s definitely a mentor of mine. There’s a few [players] you quietly sit and watch to see how they go about their day,” Alexander-Arnold told the Daily Mail.
“He’s definitely one of the ones over the course of the two years I’ve been with the first-team I’ve watched closely, and I’ve tried to pick up things he does that can make me a better player.”

Alexander-Arnold also revealed that there is a solid friendship between the two and plenty of laughs when it comes to table tennis.
“I’ve been playing with Hendo, but there’s a bit of a miscommunication. He did media yesterday and told everyone he was the champ so it’s only right I set the record straight,” said Alexander-Arnold.
“You’ll have to get us both in the same room and ask the question, and the truth will come out. I’m table tennis champ over Hendo.”
