Club chief says Liverpool summer transfer target “will not be cheap”
RB Leipzig CEO Dietrich Mateschitz says that Timo Werner “will not be cheap” if he leaves this summer.
Reports from the past week suggest that Bayern Munich have agreed on personal terms with the forward but with official confirmation not yet being reported, there’s is still a chance for Liverpool to intervene.
Werner is the ideal forward for Klopp, with his pace and intelligent movement between the lines something that the German manager is sure to be a fan of.

Speaking to German publication Blick, Red Bull CEO Dietrich Mateschitz said: “For sure that player will not be cheap.”
Earlier this season, it was claimed that Werner has a £36million release clause in his contract but there’s every chance that interest from Liverpool and Bayern could drive that price up as RB Leipzig would be keen to start a bidding war if it becomes clear that Werner is off this summer.
Paul Joyce, however, wrote recently that Liverpool are not planning on spending huge amounts of money this summer so signing someone like Werner might already be off the table.
