Liverpool ‘make contact’ with RB Leipzig about Timo Werner
Liverpool have reportedly made an approach to RB Leipzig for striker Timo Werner.
The Echo report that the Reds have ‘made contact’ with the German club about a potential summer move for Werner.
Jurgen Klopp has long been linked to the forward, but it now appears as though his interest is beginning to firm up.

The Reds have asked Leipzig to keep them updated about Werner’s availability, though the Bundesliga club are keen to tie him down with a new contract worth over £5million a year in wages.
Werner has 14 goals in 25 matches for Leipzig this season and would be a welcome addition to Liverpool’s striking department.
Daniel Sturridge and Divock Origi are expected to depart in the summer, leaving Klopp with just Roberto Firmino at his disposal.
Werner is currently valued at £58million, which wouldn’t necessarily deter Liverpool from attempting to secure his services. It remains to be seen whether or not Leipzig will become open to the idea of their star man leaving.
