Liverpool target summer move for German defender
Liverpool are interested in signing Borussia Monchengladbach’s Matthias Ginter this summer as Jurgen Klopp eyes defensive reinforcements.
The Reds have the best defensive record in the Premier League this season and have conceded just 15 goals while Manchester City (20) boast the next best record.
Ginter would be a terrific player for Klopp to sign as backup to Joe Gomez and Virgil van Dijk.

According to Calciomercato, Ginter is seen as a replacement for Joel Matip as despite his brilliant form of late, his inability to remain fit for an entire season is a concern of Jurgen Klopp’s.
Aside from the fact that the article says Liverpool are interested, there is no further information on any plans from the Reds to buy Ginter.
The German international was signed by Klopp while he was manager of Borussia Dortmund.
